If residents of countries including Cuba, Venezuela and China don’t register properties by the Jan. 31 deadline, they can be hit with $1,000 per day in property liens — or potentially have their property seized by the state. The controversial law, SB 264, has been celebrated by Gov. Ron DeSantis.
